We had so much fun at the WIPA Southern California meeting last week! We participated in the 2nd Annual Design Challenge with our theme titled “Glitzy Disco.” The meeting began as we went back “Somewhere in Time” to visit eras designed by our talented WIPA peers at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Our Glitzy Disco theme speaks to an era in the 70’s that was ruled by the record and a shiny disco ball. We mirrored this theme in our bold table design. Disco balls of varying heights and sizes were strung from a structure that stretched across most of this dramatic table. In addition, larger scale disco balls were placed on the table and interspersed among the flowers. 45 LP records graced each place setting for an additional Disco feel. The mirrored and silver vessels held the lush flowers, adding a touch of glitz. Although the flowers added a modern twist to our tabletop, we did give a small nod to that era by adding a touch of babies breath!
Platinum Weddings by Kerrie & Kelsey Events designed our gorgeous table with rentals by Premier Party Rents and additional Decor by Shinoda Design Center. Jasmin Michelle Designs created our menus.
