Fairytale-like Ballroom Wedding at Vibiana

Jessie and Garrett’s wedding at beautiful Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles featured everything one associates with joyous celebrations in fairytales. From the oversized storybook sign welcoming guests to the reception and the newlyweds sharing their first dance with a magnificent castle projection in the background to the jaw-dropping gold decor and stunning ballgown – this romantic storybook-inspired wedding planned by Kelsey Events truly had it all.

The ceremony took place in a clear-tented space in the courtyard at Vibiana. The ceremony decor featured a pastel color palette with an abundance of florals in blush and peachy tones paired with white and green. Guests, seated on chairs in antique gold with ivory cushions, were facing the horseshoe-shaped ceremony structure adorned with lush greenery and delicate blooms. The beautiful arch featured florals mirroring the stately arrangements by the entrance to the ceremony space.

The beautiful bride wore a stunning ballgown paired with accessories that emphasized the princess look including a sparkling tiara and a voluminous bouquet in blush hues. Her bridesmaids wore elegant dresses that perfectly complemented the bridal bouquet’s colors. The handsome groom and his groomsmen looked dapper in black tuxedos.

The reception was held in the historic Main Hall at Vibiana, a jaw-dropping space with tons of character and the perfect setting for a real-life fairytale wedding. As guests entered the impressive ballroom they were greeted with an oversized replica of an open storybook featuring the words: “Once upon a time in LA, a Korean boy met a Taiwanese girl… and they lived happily ever after”.

Large gilded gold mirrors were used as the seating chart and the design complemented the elegant surroundings immaculately. Guests found their seats on antique gold chairs set up in perfect symmetry around and behind the black-and-white checkered dancefloor. Round and rectangular tables were dressed in delicate, white lace linens, set with gold-rimmed chargers, and accented with towering centerpieces featuring blush, peach, and ivory blooms paired with lush foliage.

When the newlyweds shared their first dance, the bride’s gown twirled and sparkled from the light of thousands of candles and the majestic castle projection in the background and it was like watching a real-life fairytale unfold right before our eyes!
