California Wedding Day Features Coastal Laguna Beach Wedding

Charlotte and John’s enchanting wedding, set at the luxurious Villa Como in Laguna Beach, was a stunning blend of California coastline elegance and European countryside charm. Recently featured on California Wedding Day in the article, Coastal California and Italian Countryside Meld in Laguna Beach Wedding Day, their wedding day captured the essence of timeless beauty with a chic, modern twist, creating an unforgettable celebration against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.

The couple met while pursuing their MBAs in Malibu, and their love story came full circle when John proposed on a private beach in Santa Barbara, surrounded by candles, white roses, and champagne—setting the tone for the elegance and romance that would later define their wedding day. Charlotte had always envisioned a white wedding set in a locale that combined the timeless charm of the Italian countryside with a nod to the beauty of the California coast. Villa Como, with its European-inspired design and sweeping ocean views, was the perfect setting to bring that vision to life.

Their entire celebration took place outdoors, starting with a breathtaking ceremony that overlooked the ocean. For the ceremony we designed a stunning floral display, featuring a clear acrylic arch adorned with loose white florals and greenery, allowing the natural beauty of the Pacific to take center stage. The aisle was lined with delicate white rose petals, while floral arrangements framed the walkway, creating an enchanting setting for Charlotte’s dramatic entrance.

Charlotte was a vision in a luxurious Galia Lahav gown that exuded sophistication and elegance. The gown’s intricate textures and embellishments were perfectly complemented by her cathedral-style veil, adorned with floral details, adding a dramatic flair to her bridal look. The bridesmaids wore minimalistic white satin gowns, offering a modern, crisp contrast to Charlotte’s more opulent style, while John and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic black tuxedos.

As Charlotte walked down the aisle to a live violin rendition of “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” she and John shared a heartwarming first look moment at the altar—a last-minute decision that made their ceremony even more special. Their puppy, Hunter, stole the show as the “honorary groomsman,” wearing a floral collar and participating in the ceremony, much to the delight of their guests. Hunter’s role was further honored at the reception with the signature “Huntini” cocktail.

The reception continued the day’s all-white, romantic theme, with touches of gold adding a subtle hint of glamour. Guests dined al fresco beneath twinkling fairytale lights and flickering candlelight, with stunning floral centerpieces adorning each table. The couple’s wedding cake, a true work of art, was inspired by the intricate texture of Charlotte’s gown, further tying together the wedding’s cohesive, elegant design.

A standout moment of the evening was when John, a Marine Captain, changed into his uniform for the cake-cutting ceremony, using his Marine Mameluke sword to slice the cake—a beautiful tribute to his time serving in the military and a heartwarming moment that moved everyone in attendance.

Charlotte and John’s wedding was a perfect harmony of elevated coastal elegance and European charm, with every detail meticulously curated to reflect their unique love story. Flowers by Cina played a vital role in bringing the couple’s vision to life, from Charlotte’s oversized bouquet of organic white roses to the stunning ceremony florals and chic reception arrangements.

As the evening unfolded, Charlotte and John danced the night away under the stars on a glossy white dance floor, surrounded by their loved ones, breathtaking views, and a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
