A Traditional Thai Water Blessing Ceremony

We were thrilled to be part of Regina and Jason’s beautiful Rancho Las Lomas wedding, but even more thrilled that the couple would be incorporating Regina’s Thai heritage into their special day! As tradition, Thai couples begin their wedding festivities with a traditional Rod Nam Sang, or Thai Water Blessing Ceremony, and we were so excited to work alongside Lisa Simpson-Wedding Celebrations, Inc. to help make this special ceremony perfect for Regina and Jason.

The couple was joined together by delicate white thread strung across woven white threaded head garlands, symbolizing the union of two individuals. As family members and guests gave their blessings of happiness and prosperity by pouring water over each of the bride and groom’s hands from golden conch shells, Regina and Jason shared in a beautiful rite of passage.
