Amy and Mario tied the knot on a glistening spring day at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. The gorgeous ceremony, which was held beneath the famous rotunda, was followed by a stunning outdoor reception overlooking the beautiful resort and the Pacific Ocean. The wedding featured traditional glamour with a modern touch that was a perfect reflection of the couple’s stylish personalities.
Amy wore an incredible bridal gown by designer Vera Wang and shoes by Dior. A delicate veil was gently tucked into the back of her long, dark hair which she wore down, framing her beautiful face. In her hands she held a lush bouquet of mostly white blooms and hints of peach and pops of black.
The groom looked handsome with a white boutonniere on the lapel of his black tuxedo. His groomsmen matched him perfectly in their all-black attire, while the bridesmaids and two adorable flower girls were dressed in all-white just like the bride. It was a large and incredibly beautiful bridal party that stood beside the happy couple as they exchanged vows.
Amy and Mario worked closely with their wedding planner at ME Weddings & Events to create the wedding of their dreams. They chose to have their reception outdoors to incorporate the natural beauty of the venue into the decor. With the couple’s ceremony design being primarily traditional, the reception emphasized more on crisp, modern decor.
The tables were set with classic white linens, white china, and clear glassware and candleholders, but a modern touch was added with the use of clear, acrylic chairs. The sweetheart table and chairs, which were also acrylic, gave the illusion that the floral-filled tabletop was floating when looking at it from afar.
The mix between traditional and modern decor was also incorporated into the floral arrangements. Some tables had traditional bouquets of white roses placed in individual clear vases while other tables had modern centerpieces with various bundles of blooms arranged together in large, clear glass vases.
The new Mr and Mrs cut their incredible cake, which imitated an amazing marble tower, just as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean and thousands of string lights sparkled above the tables. The magical sunset marked the end of a perfect wedding day and the beginning of Amy and Mario’s Happily Ever After.
