Traditional Pastel Wedding at Casa Romantica

Lauren and John had a traditional pastel wedding surrounded by family and friends on a glistening January day in Southern California. The couple treated their nearest and dearest to a spectacular outdoor love celebration underneath the California sky with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.

The bride looked beautiful in her gown by Naama & Anat and a delicate lace train gently flowing down her back as she walked down the aisle of the St. Catherine of Siena Parish church where the ceremony was held. The awaiting groom looked handsome in a black tuxedo and a big smile as he watched his wife-to-be come towards him.

After the couple’s nuptials, the bridal party was transported to the venue for the reception at Casa Romantica in Laguna Beach. The beautiful venue set the tone for the design of the entire wedding with its earthy and rustic, yet romantic feel. With the help of wedding planner Platinum Weddings by Kerrie, every natural color of the venue was beautifully incorporated throughout the traditional pastel wedding. From the orange and coral-hues of the roof tiles and the cobblestones surrounding the reception space to the lush green grass beneath the tables. For added softness to the natural color scheme, the couple chose to incorporate delicate pastels in various shades of pink, blush, coral, and purple.

For the reception the couple chose traditional wooden chairs and round tables dressed in pink linens to create an intimate space for their loved ones and a rectangular floral-filled sweetheart table placed where the newlyweds could see every guest. The tables were set with gold-rimmed plates, clear glassware, and elevated centerpieces in see-through vases with gorgeous ivory and pastel hued blooms mixed with lush greenery. An abundance of candles and overhead string lights added to the romantic feel.

The couple’s desire to have a warm, family-oriented celebration was beautifully carried out and the romantic vibe of the celebration was perfectly tied together as the newlyweds shared their first dance while the sun set over the glistening Pacific Ocean.
